چکیده
Objective: This study aimed to assess the urethrovesical anastomotic leakage (UAL) and associated factors in patients who underwent robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP) its effect on early continence. Material Methods: The data of 81 RARP between February 2017 June 2022 were evaluated this retrospective analysis. On seventh postoperative day, we performed a cystography determine whether had UAL. Uni- multivariate analyses done investigate that could lead Continence rates recorded at 6-12 weeks after surgery. Results: Overall 25 (31%) UAL; them 12 (15%) mild, eight (10%) moderate, five (6%) extensive. A drain/ serum creatinine ratio >1.5 prostate volume >53 cm3 determined be significant predicting UAL both uni- (p=0.017 p=0.046, respectively). second or third 36 drain output greater than 100 ml, (22%) high drain/serum (>1.5), seven (88%) which According period follow-up data, incontinence was prevalent 9 (36%) with 20 (%37) without (p=0.959). Conclusion: Cystography is an effective method for detecting RARP. large (>53 cm3) (>1.5) found no Keywords: leak, cystography, prostatectomy, robot-assisted, urinary

“Total reconstruction” of the urethrovesical anastomosis contributes to early urinary continence in laparoscopic radical prostatectomy
PURPOSE To demonstrate the effect of total reconstruction technique on postoperative urinary continence after laparoscopic radical prostatectomy (LRP). MATERIAL AND METHODS LRP was performed using a standard urethrovesical anastomosis in 79 consecutive patients (Group-A) from June 2011 to October 2012, and a total reconstruction procedure in 82 consecutive patients (Group-B) from June 2012 to...
متن کاملAB010. “Total reconstruction” of the urethrovesical anastomosis contributes to early urinary continence in laparoscopic radical prostatectomy
Background: To improve early recovery of continence after radical prostatectomy, we present our experience with total reconstruction in urethrovesical anastomosis after extraperitoneal laparoscopic radical prostatectomy (ELRP). Methods: ELRP was performed using a standard urethrovesical anastomosis in 79 consecutive patients (group A) from June 2011 to October 2012, and using a total reconstruc...
متن کاملRadical perineal prostatectomy and early continence: outcomes after 120 cases.
PURPOSE Evaluate the results of urinary continence on patients who had undergone radical perineal prostatectomy (RPP) for clinically localized prostate cancer. MATERIALS AND METHODS We analyzed the continence data of 120 patients with pathology of cT1-cT2N0M0 prostate cancer and who had undergone RPP. Continence was assessed on the day of catheter removal, at the end of the first and third mo...
متن کاملRobotic Radical Prostatectomy and Urinary Continence: Posterior Reconstruction is Better
Robotic radical prostatectomy (RARP) is the gold standard for localised prostate cancer. However, a younger cohort are presenting with more locally advanced disease. Early continence following (RARP) is dependent on patient, surgeon and technical factors. Various techniques have been advocated to improve outcomes. A surgeon needs to audit outcomes as techniques are interpretation and execution ...
متن کاملImpact of Obesity on Early Erectile Function Recovery after Robotic Radical Prostatectomy
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE Studies are limited regarding the impact of obesity on early erectile functional outcomes after robotic radical prostatectomy. Our goal was to determine this impact using patient-reported validated questionnaires. METHODS International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF-6) scores were prospectively collected with institutional review board approval, for patients who und...
